Create your own rainbow 🌈

The most complicated thing I found when making the formulas for our kits was that I wanted them to be as natural as possible. However, I also wanted the colours to look nice and nothing synthetic is going to be as good on skin as a natural dye, and by the end of my experimenting my workshop looked like a colour bomb had gone off inside.

Here are a few examples of colourings I tried: blueberries (came out blackish), mica powders (I read that they can be bad when inhaled), holi powders (great colour if using natural spices but I read that corn starch on skin is not great as it stops your skin from being able to breath), and I also tried using synthetic red/blue dyes and after much research showed me that they contained metals and petroleum which may be harmful to both your skin and the environment.

These are my own experiences, but I would advise anyone reading this to always carry out their own research.
